Proposed custom itineraries with price quotes are provided free of cost and do not constitute a binding agreement of any kind.

By making a deposit payment for your E4 Trip, Tour, or Vacation, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions set forth below:
Travel Bookings: You agree to be financially responsible for all of the travel products and services booked through your account with E4 Initiatives/E4 Travel. In addition, you warrant that all information supplied by you or anyone using your account to E4 Initiatives in connection with the booking of travel products is true and accurate. Without limitation, any speculative, false, or fraudulent reservation, or any reservation made in anticipation of demand is prohibited. You agree to make only legitimate travel services bookings for yourself or for another person for whom you are legally authorized to act.

Responsibility: E4 Initiatives (its owners, associates, agents and employees) give notice that they assume no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit or hotel service over which it has no control.
E4 Initiatives is not responsible for loss of life, personal injury, cancellations, delays, over-bookings, loss or damage of baggage and/or loss of services as a result of the same caused by any domestic flights within Costa Rica. For an additional charge, when advisable, charter flights may be arranged through E4 Initiatives/Travel.
Should clients decide to book a charter flight, E4 Initiatives will not assume responsibility for cancellations, delays, overbookings, any loss of services from the same. E4 Initiatives reserves the right to adjust the U.S. dollar prices without notice, to reflect fluctuations in the Foreign Exchange Markets. E4 Initiatives also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the comfort or well-being of the participants and to pass on to tour members any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.
Medical and Health: Guests with existing medical conditions should make them known to E4 Initiatives well before their arrival to Costa Rica, given that guests will be, at some time during their trip, in some of the most remote places in Costa Rica. Under certain circumstances, evacuation could be prolonged, difficult, expensive or impossible. Guests should take special care. If they feel sick, they should tell us so we can start making arrangements for evacuation should it become necessary.
Hospital facilities are good in Costa Rica. E4 Initiatives assumes no liability for costs of evacuation or provision of medical care. We strongly recommend that trip participants purchase short-term traveler’s insurance covering baggage, accident/life and trip cancellation.
Canceled Trips: Costa Rican Adventures reserves the right to cancel any trip due to insufficient sign-ups. In the event of such a cancellation, those with reservations shall be notified as soon as possible and a full refund of payments on land costs will be given. Costa Rica Adventures and participating agents are not responsible for any expenses incurred for non-refundable air tickets, equipment, medical costs, etc.
Conduct: Costa Rica Adventures and its designated representatives reserve the right to disqualify any person as member of any trip or tour, should such person’s actions or general deportment impede the operation of the trip or the rights or welfare or enjoyment of other members of the trip. Refunds are usually not given under these circumstances. In such extraordinary instances when a refund is granted, it is agreed that a refund based on the actual cost of the unused land services is the limit of E4 Initiatives' responsibility.
Prices: Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are quoted per person based on double occupancy and groups of 4-6. All applicable taxes at the time of booking are included in the price of the vacation.
Payments: A deposit is required for all reservations made up to 60 days prior to departure date. Reservations made 45 days or less prior to departure require full payment at the time of booking. Payment of trip balances are due NO LATER THAN 31 days prior to departure.
Donations: All donations are made to the giving branch of E4 Initiatives which then distributes 100% of the funds to a designated program or project on our current list of sponsored causes. We are currently working to establish a separate non-profit foundation. Until legal and financial obstacles are cleared we are legally permitted to make private donations as well as accept donations to our temporary giving branch. All donations are accompanied by a receipt indicating the recipient of the donation, any exchange for goods that was made, and a certificate signed by E4 and the recipient of the donation. All donations are followed up with updates through our newsletter (public and private) so that you can see exactly how your money is being put to use. We also welcome donations of items including but not limited to clothing, school supplies, computers, and books. For information regarding finances related to donations please contact an E4 Representative and we would be more than happy to share that with you.
Forms of Payment: E4 Initiatives currently accepts payment in the form of agency check, or bank transfer. Please Note: At the moment we do not accept credit card payments and apologize for the inconvenience. We are currently working towards a system that will provide options, safety, and security with regard to credit card payments for E4 products and services. Our plan is to accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express as payment options by May 2007. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause until then.
Last Minute Bookings: E4 Initiatives and E4 Travel accepts last-minute reservations provided space is available and full payment has been received. There are no last-minute booking fees. Non-refundable express-mail charges may apply.
Cancellation & Refunds: The deposit for your trip is non refundable. If cancellation is made 45 days or more prior to the scheduled trip, a full refund (less deposit), is made. If cancellation is made 30 days prior to the trip, 75% of the trip balance (less deposit) is refunded. If cancellation is received 14 days or fewer prior to the trip, 25% of the balance (less deposit) is refunded. There will be no refund if cancellation is within 7 days of the trip. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance. In the case of cancellation for personal or family emergencies, we will make every effort to refund as much as possible.
Please be advised: Nonrefundable domestic airline tickets will not be refunded once ticketed; Refundable domestic airline tickets must be canceled before ticketed departure date.
Transactions involving property rentals (villas, houses, condos etc) do not apply under these guidelines and are subject to a separate set of conditions outlined in a contracts provided by property owners and E4 Initiatives/Real Estate.
BY OFFERING FOR SALE TRAVEL TO PARTICULAR DESTINATIONS IN COSTA RICA, E4 INITIATIVES DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT TRAVEL TO SUCH POINTS IS ADVISABLE OR WITHOUT RISK, AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OR LOSSES THAT MAY RESULT FROM TRAVEL TO SUCH DESTINATIONS.
Indemnification: You agree to defend and indemnify E4 Initiatives, its affiliates, and/or their respective suppliers and any of their officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, recoveries, losses, damages, fines penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including but not limited to reasonable legal and accounting fees, brought by: (i) you or on your behalf in excess of the liability described above; or (ii) by third parties as a result of: (a) your breach of these Web Site Terms, Conditions and Notices or the documents referenced herein; (b) your violation of any law or rights of a third party; or (c) your use of this Web site or booking of travel products through E4 Initiatives.

IN ADDITION, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF E4 INITIATIVES, ITS AFFILIATES AND/OR THEIR RESPECTIVE SUPPLIERS TO YOU, ANY TRAVELER FOR WHOM YOU BOOKED TRAVEL, OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (I) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) AND (II) THE AMOUNT THAT YOU PAID TO E4 INITIATIVES HEREUNDER FOR THE TRAVEL THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE DISPUTE.
