The Rundown
the good: surf tourism has always been and remains strong. Manuel Antonio National Park boasts Ecological Blue Flags for its emmaculate beaches and provides excellent opportunities to see monkeys. Uvita.
the bad: Another case of poorly planned and managed development, this time in Jaco. Its hard to see luxury condos going up with potholes and prostitutes in the street.
the beautiful: the endangered titi monkey, Bahia Ballena.

One of Costa Rica's most visited National Parks. Three spectacular beaches lie within the park, home to capuchin, howler, and the rare squirrel monkeys. The park is a bit like a walking safari; wildlife is easy to spot and the animals are comfortable around people.
